What can we say? We are Old Fashioned guys!
Did you know that some of the earliest versions of the Old Fashioned in the mid 1800’s were made with gin, rum, or even brandy? Though we commonly associate this classic cocktail with whiskey, there are many other variations you can use to make a delicious old fashioned. We think it’s simple (pun intended). Play mixologist and create your Old Fashioned however you want. Choose your spirit, bitters, garnish, and of course your favorite Toasted Simple and get to work! It’s your cocktail, but below are some of OUR favorite creations. We think you might like these too!
Toasted Cinnamon Apple Pie Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. red apple whiskey
1 oz. Toasted Cinnamon Clove
2-3 dashes walnut bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with a red apple twist.
Toasted Cinnamon Clove Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. rye whiskey
1 oz. Toasted Cinnamon Clove
2 dashes Angostura bitters
2 dashes orange bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with cherry and an orange twist.
Toasted Orange Peel “Orange Out” Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. bourbon whiskey
1 oz. Toasted Orange Peel
2-3 dashes orange bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with (you guessed it) an orange twist.
Toasted Orange Margarita Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. aged tequila
1 oz. Toasted Orange Peel
2-3 dashes lime bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with a lime twist.
Toasted Honey Pecan Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. bourbon or rye whiskey
1 oz Toasted Honey Pecan
2-3 dashes walnut bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with candied pecans and cherry.
Toasted Bees Knees Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. gin
1 oz. Toasted Honey Pecan
2-3 dashes lemon bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Toasted Irish Coffee Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. Irish whiskey
1 oz Toasted Espresso Bean
3-4 dashes cocoa bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Top with cold foam cream, orange twist, and Toasted Espresso Bean drizzle.
Toasted Revolver Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. rye whiskey
1 oz. Toasted Espresso Bean
2-3 dashes orange bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with an orange twist.
Toasted PB&J Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. peanut butter whiskey
1 oz Toasted Strawberry Basil
2-3 dashes peach bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with sliced strawberries.
Toasted Strawberry Basil Gin Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. gin
1 oz. Toasted Strawberry Basil
2-3 dashes lime bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with a lime twist.
Toasted Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. aged tequila
1 oz Toasted Pineapple Jalapeno
2-3 dashes lime bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with sliced jalapenos and a lime twist.
Toasted Pineapple Jalapeno Mojito Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. white rum
1 oz. Toasted Pineapple Jalapeno
3 dashes lime bitters
1 dashes mint bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with fresh mint and a lime twist.
Toasted Blueberry Lemon Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. blended whiskey
1 oz Toasted Blueberry Lemon
2-3 dashes cranberry bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with blueberries.
Toasted Blueberry Lemon Gin Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. gin
1 oz. Toasted Blueberry Lemon
2-3 dashes lime bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with a lime twist.
Toasted Cherry Almond Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. bourbon or rye whiskey
1 oz Toasted Cherry Almond
2 dashes Angostura bitters
3 dashes orange bitters
Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into rocks glass over ice rock. Garnish with cherry.
Toasted Cherry Rum Limeade Old Fashioned
2 1/2 oz. aged rum
1 oz. Toasted Cherry Almond
3 dashes lime bitters
1 dash walnut bitters
